homemade rolls

if you know me, you know I sometimes complain about my job, but really, my job is great because, well, sometimes you go to Ruritan Club meetings, and they insist on feeding you, and, it would be rude of me to refuse turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, cinnamon apples, peas, homemade rolls and coffee cake with peaches and whipped cream, right?

Virginia, end of June

haircut with Annie

fireworks with Mark and Sahar

our distasteful homage to Sam Abell's famous photo

and she just got on a plane to Egypt

Annie's House

winedale

where it rained and there was James

and people just generally make funny faces

hugs

after New Mexico Annie and I cruised to Austin for an evening where I got to see:
Eddie

Joe Bug (in the shower)

Dan

Aaron

Avimaan

as well as a ton of others but also a bunch of folks I didn't get to see and hopefully will the next time around

mid-July spent 5 days in New Mexico

with my parents, sister Amy and my nephew Dylan, who loves trees:

I will make sure he loves the earth.

and some cookies Annie and I made. There were only a couple hippos, but a lot of bears.

A ton of the pictures from this trip are, like so many others from the last couple months, sitting unprocessed on film in my house. More photos are available here on my sister's blog!

Monday morning

with the Fauquier Boys and Girls Club

more updates on the way

I've got a ton to catch up on right now. A lot of film to process from the last month, so if you've got tanks, reels or d76 sitting around gathering dust, let me know! This is a frame from Saturday after spending the morning with a local youth group working on a volunteer farm that benefits the Blue Ridge Food Bank. Afterwards, the group went to get some burgers where, afterward, one of the dads engaged in some typical dad goofing around - pretending he didn't know how to open the door.
