SPCA yesterday

for an eventual grip and grin of these girls' organization donating money.
And now for the gratuitous puppy shots. I know, I know, but seriously, how cute are these dogs? And, how, if you want a dog, could you not go down to the SPCA to get one?

ever wonder what's going through my head?

So I'm finally having my first cup of coffee after having surgery on Tuesday on my left sinus. If you take a look inside my face up there, you'll see a cross section of my loaf of head. On the one side is what the sinus should look like - the black is air, just like around the outside of the head. The grey is not air ... it's grey. It's what's been giving me these chronic sinus problems for the last year. It's also what (we found out from this ct scan) was bending my septum into positions it should have never been in. All is seeminly well now though, except for some bleeding and swelling and such, but other than that my life's little upswing is still turning towards the heavens.

Winedale Deep Cuts

I'm leaving for a job interview tomorrow, and in getting ready, I was forced to dig deep into the external hard drive, and I found a whole crop of unseen winedale photos that I'd shot on film, scanned, and then forgot about. The scans are fairly low quality, but one day (when I have money and resources and such) I'll fix 'em up right and get them out there to ya'll. So enjoy a little slide show accompanied by, well, you know who ... Oh, and get ready to see Joey like you never have before! Enjoy.

Kan & Kendle's Wedding

Well everyone, I'm sorry it took so long, but I just needed the time to get it right. So here it is, one of the best times I've ever had taking pictures:
Kan and Kendle's wedding slide show - Now in Color!

got light leaks?

...well no, actually. Word to the wise: when putting 35mm through a Holga, make sure it's not only the outside of the little window you tape up ... you need to tape it from the inside too. Especially with color film. Light really tends to make its mark. Discovered "replacement color" in photoshop though, so we'll see how that goes.

RIP D2H

Shutter exploded on Tuesday ... I don't know what I'm going to do. Maybe this is my chance to go back to film!

his Mother.

Also, I found this floating around on the internet. I just took the pictures From my first day working for the Texan. More importantly, first handling of the Nikon D1.

Cleaning up my act

Little spill from my bike today:

Strangely enough the last pictures on my camera were also taken in a bathroom. My feet in room in Bangkok.

This picture is also actually about my feet, I just didn't know it at the time. It's really a picture of my feet being bitten by fire ants.

by request

It was brought to my attention yesterday by my sister and brother-in-law that the ratio of yaks to newborn-nephews on this photoblog is severely out of balance. In an attempt to remedy the situation, I present a selection from the birth of my nephew Dylan from July.
